With an excellent academic record, she did her doctoral and post doctoral research in bovine helminths and got more than 50 research papers published in journals of national and international repute.
She taught zoology to under graduate and graduate students as a professor at MGPG College , Gorakhpur and was known as a dedicated and hardworking teacher.
Proficient at singing, she excelled in planning and presenting plays. She did yeomans service for people suffering from Leprosy and loss of eyesight, by making medical aid available to them and recording their lessons.
She headed the lioness club as the zonal chairman and was widely acknowledged for her philanthropic works.
As a homemaker and mother she not just provided full support to all the endeavours undertaken by her illustrious husband , learning the north Indian Kayastha cuisine exemplarily despite being a Bengali herself , organising the poetry meets at home among other things but also instilling in her progeny the values of hard work , commitment and prosperity.
A deeply devout person Dr Bandana exemplifies courage , ready to pitch in for any labour required for the welfare of her family , ranging from teaching to gardening to knitting to stitching to instilling the sense of discipline in the entire household.
